Panasonic sc-bt22 and satellite audio

    Hi

I have the panny sc-bt222 2.1 surround system with my panny V20 and have them connected using HDMI(arc). I can get full use of my bt222 when using blue ray, usb films, music etc. I've just recently connected a satellite dish to the built-in sat tuner in the Tv. When the TV is playing HD source material e.g. BBCHD, ITVHd I can get no audio return through the Bt222. The TV speakers work just fine. However, SD satellite content is handled fine thru the surround sound.

Are there any settings i need to adjust either on the TV or the BT222? Is there another way to pass the sat hd audio to the bt222? Will a digital optical cable work on its own?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Hi babybuilder,

I have similar 5.1 panny version of your system. You need to get audio (red & white) cables and connect them from hd cable box to your panny unit.

Then on your panny remote press "Ext-In" button and select "AUX" as your sound input.

Hey presto !! Sound from sky box etc. through surround sound system.

    Hope that helps.

    Thanks
I'll try those cables. I don't have a sky box or any other type. My TV has a built in tuner but I presume that it will be the same for this set up.
