Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Audible App Issue - Android 4.2.1 / Jiayu G4

    Hello,

    I am seeing some problems with the above as follows:
    1. Once launched, the library takes a very long time to appear (maybe 2 minutes)
    2. I get a similar 2 minute delay before an audio book that I have selected starts to play.
    3. I get frequent "App has stopped responding, do you want to quit?" type messages from Android during the above.
    The phone is Jiayu G4, Android version is Jelly Bean (4.2.1). App is running from local storage and has not been moved to SD. I've tried all of the usual steps - uninstalled, re-installed app, deleted cached data, even deleted all audio books and re-downloaded them but no improvement in the problem. I see no other problems with any other apps on the phone.

    Any ideas on this? App is basically unusable in its current state. I've contacted Audible about this also, nothing back yet.
