Funny, cycling home from work the other day, in the space of 30 minutes I saw a:

Chevy Silverado pick-up truck with Texas plates.
    Toyota Corolla with Kuwait plates.
Ford Maverick (re-badged Nissan Patrol) with Oz plates.

    Quite a variety.

This vehicle was sold in Japan under the name Nissan Safari. Until 1994, Ford rebadged the Australian version of the Y60 (GQ) Patrol, as the Maverick. In some European countries the Nissan Patrol was for a short while marketed as Ebro Patrol.

How crazy to have 3 different Ford Maverick's, one a rebadged Nissan Terano, another a rebadged Nissan Patrol, and the other a 2 door fastback!

Max, that trumps my recent sightings - out for a run in Naas yesterday and saw some sort of jeep with Victoria, Aus. plates - was too surprised by the plates to notice the vehicle type/model ! This morning in Maynooth, saw a Toyota jeep with nice EU-band Finnish plates

Was the jeep white? If so, it was probably the same one I saw.

Max, my recollection is that it was silver or blue - can't visualise it as having been white.................but hey, it could have been ! I was transfixed on the plate for the few seconds it took to pass me going in the opposite direction.

I saw 06 LS 06 today on the M7. I suspect that the plate would be illegal with the vehicle number expressed as 06 instead of 6?

'999' registrations are quite common on private or voluntary ambulances. I saw 2 together at the rear of Beaumont Hospital recently and both had '999' plates.

XZY 999 is/was on a fire tender in Dundalk. :)

I presume there were a few Kilkenny hearses with 'RIP' plates! :D

Yes, technically illegal as unlike some countries, Ireland does not use leading zeroes on serial numbers from 1-9

That reg is now on a 911 in Cork.

Is that a UK reg? A HPI check can't find anything on C1 CUM.

You can read the reg of the car in the reflection on your bonnet! No point in blocking original! :D

Looks like its just a lens issue with the camera, whatever angle it is shot at and with whatever focus and lens it was made it mess up, looks kinda like he was using a fiheye but pretty sure he wasnt. Just a weird happening.
