    Hi All, I am at the specifying stage of the project and I am currently looking at airtight membranes, tapes and sealants, any recommendations of brands or suppliers or alternatively any supplier/product to avoid? By PM of course, cheers thanks.

    Recommendation: buy in bulk abroad ( Germany is good )
    Avoid : buy roll by roll locally , unless you want to pay double...
    :rolleyes:

    Hi, could you PM me details also. Thanks

  • Registered Users Posts: 907 ✭✭✭rampantbunny

    Just a word to the wise...I bought my AT products from Germany over 12 months ago and at that time prices were the cheapest I could find between Ireland, UK, Germany.
    But there is no guarantee that prices in Ireland are as noncompetitive now as they were then...so basically, do your homework and get prices from Irish suppliers for comparison.

    And in the spirit of boards, to all those I have PM'd, can you take up the mantle now and forward that PM to others looking for the details.
    I've no problem if you just want to forward the PM as is, makes no difference to me.

    @StockingMan...someone will PM you shortly I'm sure, but if they don't post back and I'll forward details.

    @rampantbunny

    I'd appreciate the PM too if you don't mind. You also asked about anyone building in the Galway area, we're currently 'waiting to start' in the Galway area....

    Have planning got since Oct 2015 but we've had a lot going on between now and then. Hoping to be starting around April 2017, banks etc. permitting!
