I'd also be interested to hear from someone about a dentist who is good with nervous patients! I'm D7 based but will travel anywhere, including surrounding counties if need be. I haven't been in far too long (about 10 years) and despite not having any aches i have to get them seen to very soon, i'm pretty sure ill need some work but i get panicky at the very thoughts of it! I hate the feeling of loss of control and have memories of even freaking out on getting a simple x-ray as a child (got through it though, just!)

    Hi,

Looking for a dentist who is good (like, real good!!) with nervous patients. Dublin 1/2 preferred, but anywhere in Dublin will do.

    Recommendations by PM.

    Thanks

I finally went on a recommendation and saw a dentist in the Dublin 3 / 5 area last night and was very happy.

I only had a check-up, clean and polish (thank God! :)) but was very happy with the dentist's manner and attitude. Was also very relieved that they didn't try to chance fillings on me that I didn't need or try to sell whitening or any other cosmetic treatments to me.

Oh - and it was €35 for the clean and polish, the check-up was covered by PRSI.

I would happily recommend this dentist to anyone. Just PM me for details if you're interested...

I have had a lot of work done there and think that they are reasonable to their work as an extremely good service

    Best of Luck!

Hi, I'm looking for a good dentist in South Dublin please if people could PM me with names? I have a dentist down home where my parents live but I'd prefer to have a dentist up here instead. The dentist down home is quite good with not making the injections hurt, my previous dentist before that - well the injections hurt a bit, so I'm looking for a dentist who won't cause me pain!!!! That and I'm really nervous too. All help appreciated, thanks!

Looking for a good dentist for kids and adults in south Dublin (Rathfarnham, Dundrum, Templeogue, Terenure). I am talking about good as in so good that dentists themselves would go to him/her. Preferably someone that can do orthodontics as well.

    Thanks in advance

I'd also appreciate a PM about a good dentist in Dublin city centre, or Dublin 3. I need one back tooth filled urgently, and suspect there are another few that could do with having fillings replaced. If it was reasonably priced that would be a bonus. Thanks!

For the optimum treatment you should see a specialist orthodontist for orthodontics. As a dentist I would not contemplate orthodontics otherwise (unless very simple). Paediatric dentists are great with kids but a good general dentist looking after your family care will refer you as needed for paediatrics or orthodontics.
    PM sent for Dundrum

    Hi,

I was looking to see if anyone can recommend a good dentist in Dublin City Centre. I work in Smithfield area so would have to be somewhere preferably on the north side in a city centre locale. I haven't been in years and have recently been having pain due to wisdom teeth i assume. Someone who can put a very nervous patient at ease would be preferable.

    Recommendations by PM thanks.

    Hi,

I was wondering if someone could recommend a good dentist in the South Dublin area - preferably around Dundrum.

Would also greatly appreciate feedback from anyone who has used the <snip> in Dundrum - we are in a recession after all!

    Thanks
