Too much Nostalgia for my liking... Stop it... Stop it now... Oh no, the memories, how they flood back

Amp's iron-fisted hold on the rampant 24/7 flame fest that was the Counter-Strike Forums of old...

The quieter After Hours that did not churn out a FeedBack complaint thread every 25minutes (But probably resulted in a few personal wars)...

Bubbles... Oh Bubbles... Those days of tormenting Boards as well as it's IRC channel... It may have been hell on the Admins, but it was great for spectators

The fact that Boards.ie Gathering Cards were 'cool' back then...

The fact that almost every Admin was contained on the Quake Forum (Where only the cool people hung out)...

The arguement over Quake or CS being 'better' than the other (Thankfully this sort of 'war' got squashed because all the Admins were Quakers

and CS users were too busy flaming and threatening eachother to care in the end)...

All the LAN's and tournies being organized for both respective games, allowing all those people saying they'd either a) Beat eachother up IRL, or beat them in game, would meet face to face and act like scared kittens around eachother...

How women did NOT exist on Boards...

How ABOVE ^ was then eventually disproven, causing every nerdy gamer-based male to dribble over the supposed 'female' Boards usernames demanding pics... What am I saying, this probably still happens

...LittleTinyMan, Slydice, Bubbles, Shinji, WhiteWashMan, Richindub2, BobTheUnluckyOctopus - Names like this crop up in mind...

Oh Boards... Thou hath ruined/saved my Internet-Childhood so many times...

Back in my day Boards looked like the 2nd Picture - Not entirely sure if I was here early enough to catch a glimpse of the first pic...
