Your motor related part should have been "I'm in no fit state to drive" :P

They look class conzy, any idea if the same seller has the normal coloured ones for the wheels? Mine could do with a bit of sprucing up.

A jaysus... Me fecking head.... No drink for last few months and now I am good for another few months.

Andy, get a bike with road wheels, a road bike would be ideal but good look finding one at that price. A dodgy old single speed hybrid would be ideal or a fixie for simplicity.

    Cars, cars, cars.

Hopefully collecting the car off the mechanic tomorrow, power steering and front suspension sorted :)

Thanks for reminding me, decided to buy some german plates while I have the money for it :D

Let us know how ****ed the suspension was :D

One man does not think mx5 is a good car, just okay car. So what, I still have fun in my one, and that's all that matters.

I've never seen Chris Harris give a Japanese car a good review.
He almost admitted the Evo X is better than the current VW R32 but found some way to mix it up and say he wasn't really bothered with the Evo.
In the video, he loved everything about the Evo and hated everything bar the seats and the noise from the R32. I tend to ignore him these days, absolute badge snob.

Edit: Just remembered, he loves the GT86 but he dicided to compare it to an 05 Cayman S (which he prefared, even though it was modified), just because they're the same money. I just can't take him seriously.

How much for a set of the German ones do you know? Looking for a set for the 156. Also need to get new front badges and something to help renovate the headlights.

Anyone any ideas? It's looking a little past it at the moment I'm hoping all this and a good polish and wax will help facelift it a little. What think ye?

Well, he was ashamed to drive mx5, that tells a lot already. Sure something like newest 911 are better drivers cars then mx5, but mx5 does so much for so little money.
He was bitching about modifying mx5 too, which is quite... Stupid. So many Hal cars being modified and that is not a bad thing. Cars like this are great modifying platform.
I presume he just wants attention as the ONE who does not like mx5, look at me, I am so cool. So he is one who right and the rest of the motoring community is wrong.

Meh, like I said I love my mx5, and it is a lot of fun.

Of course I know, I just bought them :pac:

    Order total: 35.90 EUR

I opted for a pair of pressed metal, standard size w/ german font, county name & irl-euro flag, including delivery.

As for headlights... D/A or wet sanding followed by D/A

You can buy the headlight kits in any motor factors or off ebay works best with a buffer also.
Done on a pajero and focus and brought them back nearly new again.
    Plates be about €25 - €30
    New badge check ebay.
Get compound and buff the car then polish her to bits should get her back looking her best.

He wasn't really. He was saying that it's retarded for the mx5 community to harp on about how great a drivers car they are in general, when their own cars have been quite modified from standard. He has a point. He wasn't saying don't modify it but don't claim as standard they're great when you've changed all the parts that change handling

Autosol metal polish brought my bros headlights to practically new condition

There are no need for drastic suspension modding to have better handling. In fact Some mx5 owners argue that fiddling with suspension too much and lowering destroys mx5 fun handling.

Still, the biggest prove of mx5 being a good car is mx5 itself. It was sold in such huge numbers and it has huge huge fallowing. If he does not like it, well then it is his right.

All great advice thanks fellas. Insurance will be this week do want her looking well for the Meet at the end of the month.

Looking at the tyres they aren't in great nick, heard of this place in Swords called Tyreland. They specialise in part worn tyres I think, anyone here used them and what would I be paying for two decent front tyres?

    Again thanks lads appreciate it!

Tyreland are regarded as the best, but ring them and check what stock they have first. I tried a good while back for 225/40/18's and all they had was new triangles

IIRC conzy got his partworns here:

Part worn tyres are fine but will be plugged and probably two different makes so wouldnt be too mad about that for grip and that.
If you have the spare cash go out and buy a set of uni-royal rain sport2 there are amazing in the wet.

Five cars keyed where I live Friday night, mine was one of them.
Bloody scum. they scored the bonnet so deeply they left a curl of swarf for want of a better description blowing in the wind. That was what caught my eye.

I know there's a lot of keyboard warrior stuff on here but if I could find out who did it I would put him/her in hospital. Fuming! Nearly want to put out a bounty for info.

Preferably someone who will wash it while I sit in it rather than one of those drive through things.

would you not feel terribly awkward sitting in your car as someone goes around cleaning the outside of it? :D

there is one place here, where you go buy ticket in petrol station then go drive in in to self service carwash, which was "converted" to wash cars, by 2 fellas. feels a wee bit.... carp... thx **** for smart phones these days, because before you had to sit and look through your windows like a proper cock.
