Need to get my Alfa 156 serviced. Long overdue, lights coming on all over the dash! It's got a full Alpha Serice history but since it's a 99D I'm not sure it's worth continuing with Alpha dealer for service as it's probably more expenisve than a standard garage. In which case can anyone suggest a decent garage in South Dublin that could look after it? Any suggestions appreciated.

Most Alfa owners will tell you to stay clear of main dealers as they have a poor after sales service.

Gerry Cambell of Ti Autos is highly regarded by enthusiasts. He is based in Dublin but where exactly I don't know. Expect to wait a while for this services though as he highly regarded that much.

Thanks for that, actually found him on a thread just after I posted and he's booked me in for Monday week. Just hoping he doesn't charge through the nose.

TI autos, Cowper street, Dublin 01 8386567 is northside but definitely worth the trip.
Alasta Autos in South Lotts aren't bad either; now a dealership but service specialists for a long time.
    Neither will be cheap.

I use a back street mechanic who's got a bit of experience with Alfas; known him years so not a rip off merchant; where are you based?
Alfas need regular servicing; if you've got lights coming on I'd be worried.

    Edit/ too damn slow!

You did well getting a slot on Monday week. I have heard of people waiting up to over a month.

I'm living in Dundrum, working in Castleknock so actually location isn't really an issue. Would prefer to keep the cost down if at all possible. You think your back street mate would be able to take a look?

I'd never tell you not to go to TI.

I'm just saying where I go for oil changes and the simple stuff. If I had a car I thought had been neglected I'd get TI to take a good long look over it.

There's a guy in Naas too - George Frayne. Himself and Gerry Cambell (Stoneybatter) are yer only men for an Alfa (not Alpha!)
