Hi does anyone know what is happening with the wasteland beside rathborne ave and the Village in Ashtown? There has been recent activity - new fence being put up and ground being flattened . Is it too much to hope they plan to build a primary school there?! Also any plans for a doctors surgery to open beside superquinn Ashtown ? Thanks

As far as I know, they're basically just making the wasteland look a bit more presentable by replacing the hoarding with a proper fence and planting grass on the land.

ya, Builders down from Northern Ireland to level the land and take down the hoardings that are advertising the development as there are no more for sale and the hoarding are become unstable. (Under instruction from NAMA)

Better than it was, but it'd be good if it was made into a park or something.
