oh i'll save literotica for later :D

i had a right laugh looking through the bookdepository scifi/fantasy section - serious amount of trashy vampire novels involving "passion" or "release" or somethin :D

Everyone jumping on the Twilight bandwagon :pac:

Oh, she's awful. typical fantasy chicklit. you want really good female fantasy authors, katharine kerr, kate elliott, robin hobb

Yeah, the second book is definitely better

I've read most of Hobbs alright, I like her :D. I do still like Canavan's other series (BM and Aot5) but maybe I'll take them off my re-read list so that I can remember them fondly with rose tinted glasses :P

I really liked the Black Magician trilogy. Read a book and a half of Age of the Five and gave up though, they just didn't grab me. Haven't read her more recent stuff.

Getting there. Just that the truth generally comes out in drink and somethings can't be taken back.

I saw it but haven't seen the first. Wasn't really my bag but my mate thought it was better than the first.

I didn't like the first one much, just wondering if the second is worth bothering with.

First one was a bit weird or something.

If you didn't like the first one you certainly won't like the second.

    Stick with the BBC adaptation.

Basically more of the same, but to be honest, not really as good.

If you enjoyed the first, then take a look. ;)

I'd agree about sticking with the BBC Sherlock, it's by far the best adaptation!

Best of luck with that. I'm still living at home because I can't afford to leave. It's pretty damn soul-crushing. Unless you're willing to work 50 hours a week for free for 9 months (after which you'll be turfed back on the dole again), the only way to eek a living is to create your own work.

On that note, if anyone wants crap music lessons in the Dublin area, PM me :pac:

retail or waitressing or baby sitting! Im flexible for any of them!

I think the worst thing about all of it is that you need experience to get any jobs anywhere!

By the time i was able to work recession was in full swing and there was no jobs going! So i never got proper experience to be honest, just you know work experience for school!!

I have been trying for so long and its ridiculous!

You just need one break to get you out there. I remember that feeling when I first started looking for jobs at 16. Ended up working as a carer in a nursing home which in turn got me interested in nursing.

    Fingers crossed for you!

I feel like i should have my own Concern tv ad... "Just 2 music students a week will ensure Fluorescence can afford food. 6 will allow her to pay for rent and internets. 15 students will ensure Fluorescence can save enough for next year's education. Have a heart - let Fluorescence teach you music!"

    :pac:
