    you're very welcome, Carrighead,
trick is to persevere, even if your first yarn is lumpy and bumpy, it will improve.
I still have my very first handspun yarn, it's 20 years old now!
do try to meet other spinners, you will learn a lot from them. If you know of any knitting groups that meet in your area, check them out to see if there is by any chance a spinner in the group too.

There will be a festival in West Cork in May, 16th and 17th,
there is a workshop for Spinning for Beginners,
here's the link. there may still be places for the afternoon workshop
    http://sheepsheadyarnfestival.weebly.com/spinning-for-beginners.html

keep an eye too on blog Woolly Way of Ireland, for upcoming events and workshops.
Here's another seller I have met myself: jennifer at
    https://www.etsy.com/ie/shop/WoolFinchStudio/search?search_query=roving&order=date_desc&view_type=gallery&ref=shop_search,
    based in Scarriff co clare.
also sometimes the wool sold for felting at Vibes abd Scribes can be suitable for spinning too and a lot of craft shops sell this wool now. if it's reasonably priced it can't hurt to try it out.

if you join the Guild weavespindye.ie and become a paid up member, you can even hire a spinning wheel from them for a month or two to try it out and see if you really love it.
