Rain and wind can spoil it. Pests and diseases can destroy it. But sometimes everything falls into place and you produce something remarkable, for a short time. Capture that happy accident and show us the perfect bloom.

Had to share this. I grew this from my own collected seed. It's an angels fishing rod and the first time it has flowered (maby 6 years old)

It has been a great year for the Philadelphus, a scent to die for and a flower of the most brilliant white, and the bees like it too.

Another orchid, but a little the worse for wear. This plant has been flowering for 7 months this year and has a lovely old soap smell:

An unknown Lilly from the father in law and grown in a pot. This is the first time it has flowered for me since I got it 4-5 years back.

A dwarf Lilly that I got from a neighbour, it has a lovely purple flower with a yellow centre that contrasts very nicely. It does spread a bit jumping from pot to pot, but who cares :D

I had to use my hand as the camera couldn't focus on the tiny flower.

Dicentra spectabilis - bleeding heart - white. Another early flower, but I just love these in my garden. The shape of the flower, the way the whole plant arches.
