[MOTU] Broken Painting at Leap castle

I have recently visited Leap castle and I decided to take a couple of photos of the banquet hall, there was one in particular that I had taken of a painting of a man and the painting had been damaged where the eye should be.
I am curious to know if anyone is familiar with this painting as while I was reviewing this photo when I got home I had noticed what seemed to resemble a skull to the left of the photo where his elbow rests. If anyone has seen this painting before could tell me if that is a part of the painting or something else?

That's no problem at all :) I googled the castle and a page for offaly tourism had the contact number. As far as I know the castle cannot be visited after 5pm and it's €6 per person visiting
