Are you watching 'How the Universe Works' on discovery too?
    I was. Great show. :D

Where's the Jesus option anyway? Or does that count as aliens?

It would be very, very hard to wipe out the human race completely, we're on every continent and lots of islands, we can survive in just about any environment hot or cold. The advantage we have over other animals is our ability to quickly adapt to new environments so we're the most likely of the mammals to survive in some form or another.

    It really wasn't...
Try Kim Stanley Robinsons novels on climate change for something semi realistic.

The Third World is most likely to be more effected by climate change though.

We will pull so much oil out of the earth, that the sybolitic weight transfer ratio that contols the earth's gravitation pull, will cease.

This will have the effect of the earth's vegetation dying due to minerals in the soil no longer being able to move at a rate that would make photosynthesis possible.

Animals will be begin to die rapidly without vegetation and so ultimately we will too will suffer the same fate.

I'd say there's fcuk all chance of us dying as logically as that.

I'd imagine we'll be destroyed in a truth or dare game between two young female Gods.

    Simul-Dump-plosions.

Soon, when everyone has a toilet of their own, which will happen, there will be a simultaneous dump which will cause a world wide clog which will blow up when a UFO shoots a match at the Earths key dump treatment facilities.

    It will happen.

Humanity is wiping itself out every day as we evolve.. that **** doesn't stop just because you've gotten comfortable on a chair with a broadband connection. We weren't human 300,000 years ago and we won't be human in 300,000 years time. I don't think our evolutionary line will end before that because as we get smarter we'll develop better ways of protecting ourselves.. even if we end up destroying ourselves we'll have set aside groups to insure the rejuvenation of the species. An asteroid could hit us in the future but how far away is the nearest one that is considered a real threat..? and the limit on how far ahead we can see increases with every new technological breakthrough.

Some say the world will end in fire,
    Some say in ice.
From what I've tasted of desire
I hold with those who favor fire.
But if it had to perish twice,
I think I know enough of hate
To say that for destruction ice
    Is also great
    And would suffice.
