Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    just a fun thread for all the folk that think everyone else is having a great time, and are feeling left out. Hopefully this will show that you are not alone.

    So, if you like the idea, just post a 1 liner, along the lines of 'i think everyone has done this, and I havnt ...' No answers necessary, no debate required. Just post your insecurity, and others can comment (gently!) if they want. Maybe it will turn out that you are not the only one that hasnt done 'it'.

    I will start the ball rolling

    I heard an interview with a researcher last week on NewsTalk about Facebook depression - people thinking other people have/everyone else has wonderful lives, etc. I'd heard mutterings of it before and could believe it.

    So I can see this thread might be justified/worthwhile/fun. There's no compulsion to take part.

    (Will try to think of something that fits in)

    This is one I should be good at! - I've been housebound nearly bedbound with M.E. for the last 16 years (I only go out for essential appointments and then also when we go to our mobile home for the summer) so I haven't seen lots of things.

    e.g. am I the only person who has never heard anyone talking on the phone in the cinema?*

    * basically only "yuppies" had a mobile phone when I was last out and about (apart from car phones).

    AFAIK it basically means that your mortgage repayments fluctuate with interest rate changes.

    Interest rates go down = whoo hoo
    Interest rates go up (and up and up) = boo hoo.

    Yes, it's a fixed figure (percentage) above the ECB rate e.g. until a few days ago, a relative's mortgage payment (actually they are on interest-only) was calculated at 1.9%.
