Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    In all my time i cant say ive ever heard of a dance event selling out 6 months before it's due to take place and without any DJ's/Artists announced but such is the popularity of the Southport Weekender renowned for putting on some amazing party's there you have it, have never been and it's definitely something i need to do before i pack it in altogether.

    Dear Weekender Friends,
    SOUTHPORT WEEKENDER 25th ANNIVERSARY WEEKENDER TOTALLY SOLD OUT!

    What can we say just over 6 months to go and before a single act or DJ has been announced, we are so proud to announce that the Weekender has completely sold out to an unbelievable 6500 capacity.

    This is only our 2nd event at Minehead of course and it's an even more amazing feat at this early stage, when you consider we've already moved a lot of staff off site and the capacity on site to the old one is some 3000 extra people.

    We feel totally overwhelmed and humbled by your absolutely incredible support and the faith shown in what we do for the music we all love so much whatever genre of soulful music you prefer.

    The pressure is on for us to deliver the goods in the form of a cracking line-up and you can rest assured that we will do our best, with the tools provided and the availability of who we want, to do what we have strived for the past 25 years. We already have some amazing names in the bag and some fantastic ideas to make improvements where possible and we will be keeping you up to date with these over the coming weeks.

    It's almost exactly a year to the day that we had to move heaven and earth to get us here - who would ever have thought 1 year on we would be announcing a sell out event on such a wonderful Resort with a capacity of this size.

    Cancellation List and Policy
    A huge number of people have been asking us about a cancellations list. Regretfully we will not know about any cancellations until after 3rd February 2012 when the balances are due from all existing customers. On a large event such as this and selling out so quickly to 6500 people, we are pretty sure that some cancellations will happen, it is our experience that often people unfortunately do not inform us they no longer wish to attend. We are not going to be operating a cancellations list, instead any apartments that do arise will be offered on a first come first served basis on Monday 20th February 2012 at 1pm GMT, by way of a special code that will be issued and emailed only to people who have registered for our Mailing List.

    Existing Customers
    Being sold out so quickly has meant even with the huge numbers already booked, the demand is continuing to soar to levels we have never experienced before in the 25 year history of running these Events. Please ensure that all your balances are paid in full by Friday February 3rd 2012 and if not already provided, 2 x passport size photographs for each of your party, with names on, reach our office by Tuesday 6th December, as per our Terms and Conditions, otherwise we will assume that your party no longer wishes to attend and your apartment will be automatically cancelled and released.

    Paying Balances Online
    We will shortly be introducing a new system to the Website so it can be made easier for payments to be made on line. As always, information on this will be emailed to all members on the mailing list soon.

    Onwards and Upwards
    Once again we cannot thank you enough so we are keeping this nice and short as we have a lot of work to do to bring you the best possible line up for the Weekender and also the wonderful boutique festival party that is SunceBeat 3 in Croatia from Wednesday 25th July until Wednesday 1st August 2012.
