    Hey,
If 'someone' was to leave their job in Dubai, finishing up before Christmas, cancelling their visa - then returning in January to apply for a new visa, in a new job...

Would they be able to travel back in on a holiday visa? would their e-gate be cancelled?

    T'anks

Once your visa is cancelled you get 30 days like a holiday visa. Your egate would be cancelled as its linked to your visa. Once you come back you would get another 30 holiday visa. Shouldn't be an issue.

Hey wuffly, thanks for the advice...

Do you know if I need an NOC while transferring from Sharjah (freezone) to a Dubai visa? & will I need to transfer to a Dubai drivers license from a Sharjah one

Sorry, missed this last week was out of the country.

I don't think you would need an NOC as they would just cancel your current visa and put you on a 30day visit visa and your new company would then start the visa process. I will check with my PRO to be sure. Will also check re the drivers license. It might need to be changed as your visa will be changing to a different emirate although it shouldn't make a big difference.

Sorry about the delay, hard to track our guy down sometimes! Once your Sharjah visa is cancelled you have 29 days after that if you don't have a visa or a visa in progress with the MOL its 30aed fine per day. If the delay is with the new company they generally pay that. No need to change your driving licence unless you want to upgrade it, as in drive a mini bus etc... He handles over 1000 people for us so i'm sure its accurate info.

Hey, you've been really helpful. Thanks!

My current Visa gets cancelled next week & I come back in Jan when the new visa gets processed. Three weeks holidays!!! I haven't had that much time off since I was about 16... Exciting times,

You're welcome. Enjoy the time off and best of luck with the new job! I'm sure it will be nice not to be in Sharjah traffic everyday when you get back!
