Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    What does "ar aon nos" mean.
    Pretty stupid question, I know, but it was on the nuacht quite a bit today!

    "Ar aon nós" = Anyway.

    I could have looked at that for a million years and not got it :p

    I was thinking it was something like 'on any wind' ...isn't 'nos na gaoithe' something to do with wind?

    "Ar aon nos" is more like "at any rate". "Ar nos na gaoithe" is "at the rate of the wind", ie. very fast

    Ar nós na gaoithe= like the wind, in other words, really quickly.

    Rith sé ar nós na gaoithe- he ran very quickly.
