You gotta try "The Bullman" bar and restaurant in Summer Cove, its about 5 mins outside Kinsale on the way to Charles Fort,
Beautiful Pub, and the restaurant upstairs is first class, me favourite pub in the whole of Ireland.

Also try the dining room in the Blue Haven Hotel in Kinsale, its v. pricey but the food is simply the best in Kinsale.

Just wondering - is that 5 minutes driving or walking?

    Hi Colls,
Thats 5 mins by car, but I'm sure a Hen group will have no troubles covering that ground walking!!

    Hi,

I was in Kinsale last weekend and we went to Man Friday's for dinner. We had such a great time. The food was amazing, everyone thouroughly enjoyed their meal, including starters, mains and desserts. The staff there were so nice, we were a group of six and ended up staying there from 7:30 until 11:30 and they didn't mind at all. Definitely recommend it, situated in such a nice area, overlooking the harbour. It's a must!

We've used Man Fridays for the past 15 years for family occasions. Had some friends over from the UK who love fish, so a natural choice for us.

Arrived to be told that they'd double booked us...eventually sat down 30 minutes late (one party was semi disabled & its not the easiest place to find a spare seat). Of the 5 fish dishes on the menu, 4 were not available. Three of our four meals arrived after much chasing but no sign of the fourth one - medium fillet steak. 5 mins later after more chasing, a 'blue' steak arrived - totally inedible, by which time the rest of us were well into our meals.

Long and the short of it was that we were overcharged & had to correct that, very poor service all night through & thoroughly dissapointed. Wrote a nice letter to the owner saying that we had been there for donkeys years & never had problems, but were unhappy about that night....two months later, still no reply.

I know restaurants have their off nights, but to not even reply to our letter. Never used it since & never will again
