Ok All well an great Exsept you cant Run Windows on A G5 or G4 mac. So you poor souls splashed out on the G5 & G4 & dont even get the benafit of useing Windows on it. I dont mean trough Poxi Virtual PC which is a pice of **** & slow as 80 year old mad Masterbateing.
basicly Apple have Screw us.
Something Apple users for years Wanted . & to place it in an intel mac Not to support The PPC Folk . (This is Something Sony Would Do I cant Beleave Apple Have Screwed Us)
I personaly think we got screwed.
Oh yeah Before any Muppits Bring up OSX is much better then windows on this Topic shut up before I Kick the Crap out of Ya. try understand its not the Apple Vs Windows Im Talking about its the fact that its unfair to have splashed out over 2K on a G5 or G4 & not Have the Option to run windows useing Bootcamp unusual thing is Bootcamp install on the G4 & G5 but its basicly useless what is this Point or do People Now Adays Like to Be Screwed ?

you obviously know nothing about the difference between processor architecture and what is involed in the emulation of one architecture on another.

these things happen, you cant get pi$$ed at microsoft for releasing the xbox 360 if you only bought an xbox a couple of months ago. when spending money you should do your research and try to keep your ear to the ground a lot of people knew that intel macs were coming a long time ago.

i dont want to blame you directly but its more your fault than apples.

btw i really hope english is not your native tongue.

What a moronic post tbh. If you wanted to run Windows so much at the time you bought your Mac, why the hell didn't you buy a PC? I really don't think you know what you're talking about here.

As an aside, I'm not even convinced yet that people want to run Windows on a Mac out of anything more than curiosity.

Dive I understand what you Mean Yeah its a Kick in the teeth to some of us. Working In retail I do see a lot more Apple's with intel chips selling & the funny Thing is they all want them so they can run Windows.
I think it's a wast of money to put Windows on an Apple system. in the end However Apple are s company like Microsoft they want to make money they personaly dont give a fock bout you there apple phone support is a joke nearly as bad as Dell but thats just the way it is even if there support is a joke people still buy them the reasion is Apple systems work & work well even if it was George Bush selling them to you would still buy them.
Its a Good Sales on Apple's Side there Smart & they Know it. intel Mac's have sold a lot better then the PPC ever did. True Apple Owners would be & shold be gutted apple switched to intel now its intel its basicly a PC & Mac users are Now PC users weather they like it or not. buy a intel mac for the use of apple OS Not windows.
if I wanted a windows PC with sames specs for Half the Price I would get a dell with an intel core duo.
Oh yeah to the little Smart ass minikin you don't seam to Know what your saying. Sony Screw people all the time. An exsample of this is you buy a sony camera it will only take a memory stick or duo also there Mp3 Players only work with Sonicstage etc it keeps you sticking to them. Smart it is but thats how it goes

god the standard of english here is appalling, always thought Apple haters were idiots but this is a new level!!

Also how's about the only platform that can natively run both OSX and Windows, as ignorant as you may be; while I am an Apple fan i also would like to run some windows apps, so for the price of an Apple Mac i get:

* Beautiful machine
* Native OSX
* Optional Windows
* Potential for Linux

So exactly what i was getting before but now more for the same price. For gods sake Apple don't give me options you sly ba$tards...

This is also the only meaningful conclusion I can come to from this rant. Apple are obviously 'screwing' PPC users by not 'magically' getting Windows to run on non-x86 architectures for which it has probably never been unofficially built. Even if I mis-interpreted the original post, it's still one of the more moronic things I have read on Boards recently.

OP you might consider the nature of computer technology. It's constantly changing. PCs generally don't appreciate in value.

Personally i wouldn't go near an Intel chip in a mac for another year at least. Too many teething problems. G4 / G5 at this point has to be far more stable. As for windows on a mac. forget about it!

I once paid over £1000 for a crappy scanner... now I see them in the shops that are a 1000 times better for €50... Do you see me breaking down in tears? Well, maybe a little.

heh, I have aq imac g5. have no complaints.. :P I really have no urge to suddenly want to run Windows XP.. ¬_¬ All though there are one or two apps from windows I'd like to use...

But meh, technology moves on, fast.

Have a 1 year old iBook G4, will get Macbook Pro when I graduate from college, until then I have the use of a laptop that I love. Plus by 2008, all the early bugs will be worked out and pretty much everything will be universal binaries.

I can't speak for everyone else. But I need a mac for video editing and graphic design in work.. and I also need a PC running windows for other things. So I currently operate with both a Powerbook and a Dell XPS laptop... Being able to run both OS X and Windows off the one laptop will be hugely handy for me.
