Sore back when doing squats

Just started doing squats a few days ago and I'm not really into health and fitness so I looked up how to do them on the internet. However when I'm doing them my lower back gets sore or strained! After 15 min or so it's fine and it doesn't hurt the next day but I don't want to risk anything.

Any ideas on what i might be doing wrong? Thanks

Your form and/or flexibility probably needs work. Chances are you're lifting too heavy for now too. Look up goblet squats and do only these for a few weeks to get used to the movement

I too have problems with squats (flexibility) as an alternative I use a landmine which could prove useful if your gym has one.

No squatting right is the solution.

It's pretty important movement you might just need for the rest of you life, no biggie or anything
