It is strange you were fined so much.

Were there any other charges/circumstances?

Yeah.....And they mightn't be so uptight either.

I think instead of fat farms, we need sex farms. I could run one. You're not allowed leave until all the blubber is gone.

No....You've got your prices mixed up. It's about €63.50 for a half an ounce of soap bar.

I don't know. I suppose, ********* one is only as immoral, or even less immoral, than killing one and eating it.

Out of interest what dictates that in Ireland - I assume its not the DSM IV.
There is no legal definition of "addiction" to the best of my knowledge.

I couldn't comment on the medical side, although I know there is a new version of the DSM coming out. You'd have to ask medical people really.

A court summons and fine for a tenner worth of weed? That's outrageous and almost unheard of as far as I know. I've known people caught with 50-100 euro worth of weed and all that happened was they had their name, address and phone number taken and then never heard about it again, very unusually especially since you were cooperative.

As I said, let's get our Rosary Beads out and pray for a cure.

Walking around with drugs in your possession is obviously not a good idea but, in this case at least it would appear that cooperating with the guard and pleading guilty was not a great idea either.

I think it was Montesquieu said that if accused of stealing the twin towers of Notre Dame, he would rather flee the kingdom than face trial. And he was a lawyer.

What happens on the day can be really iffy. I know people who were caught with quantities significant enough to get done for intent to supply, but in court they got away with simple possession. I have also heard of people getting custodial sentences for tiny amounts.

Depends on how square the judge is really.
