    Pictures dudes, pictures.:)

Quite an unusual post coming up now ;)

Did I ever tell you lot about my Stilo? Everyone knows how much I love Stilos and this one was no exception :)

What a lovely car it was..... Not. It was an inappropriate paperweight rather than a car
    Image1066.jpg

The kind of person that would buy one to actually drive about in is clearly stated on the bonnet
    Image1067.jpg

Get the f*ck off the trailer
    Image1068.jpg

For anyone wondering, it was an uneconomic repair. The electrics were trashed, ECU ruined an had a few, er, visual defects :pac: I acquired it for the engine, box and other interesting bits such as the electronic steering module, accelerator pedal, double din radio etc. I normally leave them as shells, but I can't stand these yokes and the less bits of it I have the better :)

The most of them are absolute buckets of crap anyway. That particular one was a 1.2, too underpowered for such a heavy car. I remember test driving it and thinking I'd left the handbrake up....

Everything was canbus, multiple airbags that kept the airbag light on. ECU failures are rife, go into any scrapyard and see if the ECU is still in it ;)

Stilos are an absolute insult to what went before them!

Edit: For all the guessers that other car is a Merc C250 TURBODIESEL :D

Picked this up a couple months ago after we sold the Fabia vRS. It's a 2007 Renaultsport Clio 197 F1 Team R27. It only had 8,500 miles on the clock when we got it so it's like a new car inside and out. It's heavy on fuel (late 20's, 30+ on a run so big change from 60mpg from the Fabia) but the handling easily makes up for that. No plans to change anything as the F1 already has everything done to it (Recaros, cup chassis)

By far and away one of the best handlings cars I've driven. Renaultsport really do know how to tweak a chassis. It's somehow softer/more compliant than other cars I've driven but stays totally flat in bends. Where our '11 Fabia RS would be a mess of understeer and ESP lights flashing, the Clio doesn't even so much as chirp it's tyres.

That looks like one of few renaults that I actually like!
