Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Help in Transferring 60 Hours of Audio from Sky+ to mp3

    I'm ready to upgrade my Sky+ 40g HD to something bigger. The problem is that I record 2-3 hours of radio a day (BBC 4 & BBC 7) and I'm about 60 hours behind. This is using up about 4 Gigs/10% on Sky+. I'll never catch up by just listening so I need to thansfer the radio programs over a few nights.

    I could do it in 8 hour chunks using about 8 videotapes.

    My question is... what software/leads do I need to transfer them to a computer in mp3 format ?

    Also - as all the recordings are bbc/unencrypted would they be readable if I put the old 40g HD into a computer ?

    All Suggestions appreciated

    I use http://audacity.sourceforge.net/ its great, easy to use and free!!!

    Not sure about the second question!!!
