I've watched the first three seasons of the IT Crowd between last night and today, gonna watch season 4 today :D

Exact same, missed lectures in college today because of it :P

I just watched The Departed tonight.

    Fricking brilliant.
I'm a bit hit and miss with Scorsese films though if I'm not in the mood to settle in for one I get too annoyed.Though I was up for Casino and got really bored about 3/4 of the way through.

You got bored through Casino? Heresy! Wouldn't mind going to see Hugo, it's meant to be brilliant.

Catching up on Doctor Who! Tennant will always hold a special place in my heart but Matt Smith does one helluva job!

Must have played Nightcall a dozen times within a week of watching Drive. Fantastic soundtrack as you say, and film. Great cast with Bryan Cranston, Christina Hendricks, Ryan Gosling and then Albert Brooks outshining them all.

one and homeland season . which one is better ?

Be prepared to be disappointed with a horrendous season 5 and 6. It's all with it for season 4 with John Lithgow however.

Just home from "The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo".I'd recomend it to everyone, but it can be hard for some people to watch at times and its something you definietly need focus to watch .

I saw that during the week its very good...a bit disturbing at times but the story line is really interesting.

Did either of ye see the Swedish, English-dubbed, version? Better or worse?

  • Registered Users Posts: 6,321 ✭✭✭Jackobyte

Started watching New Girl tonight. 4 episodes in and I love it. It's hilarious and is generally a feel good programme. Yay!

I'm watching The Thick of It. Malcom Tucker is a genius of a character and much of the show rings true, making the witty dialogue even more hilarious.

I didn't see the Swedish one but I've read the book. The movie was good, not great, nowhere near as good as the book though.

Nine episodes done. Now to wait for the new one on the 17th. I think I remember now why I always waited for a series to end before starting to watch it.

If you don't like the first season, it might be a good idea to give up on it. It kinda went downhill from there (although I did like seasons 2 & 3 myself, 4 not so much).

I need to start watching this. In The Loop is one of my favourite films.

Parks and Recreation and Happy Endings are two great comedies I've been watching recently. Also watched both seasons of Party Down over the xmas hols, such an awesome show with a great cast.

Has anyone watched Homeland? In the process of getting it now. Seems to be a hit in the TV forum

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,871 ✭✭✭Conor108

I'm getting to it! I saw an ad for it on RTE and it wasn't put on at some ridiculous time like 2am on a wednesday. The first time they have impressed me.

I love criminal minds, doesn't really get good till Rossi turns up i don't think though. I've been meaning to start watching mean girls again for ages, watched up till episode 4 I think, then they took a break and I never started again.

I really just want to know now how Ted met his children's mother.

College life means I'm really living on a constant supply of How I Met Your Mother, Scrubs and The Big Bang Theory. Not really a fan of The Big Bang theory though.

Going to start watching New Girl. I love Zooey Deschanel so I'm hoping I'll like it!

Anyone else keeping up with the kleptomanic storyline in Fair City? Some fine screen-writing there. :P I wasn't sure where they had intended to bring that story line but that wasn't it anyway.

Dog the Bounty Hunter is actually brilliant.

New series of One Tree Hill started in America yesterday :) So good! So sad to see it go after this season. :(

Gonna try and get a link to the People's Choice Awards later. Kaley Cuoco hosted so it's definitely gonna be hilarious! Hopefully it's online somewhere. :D

Just finished The Sopranos, the whole show. The ending took a bit of time to decipher but it's a master class in direction. The last six episodes, or the mini-season, were superb.

    Now onto Treme.

Drive is actually such a fantastic movie.

I can't watch Breaking Bad anymore. It's way, way too good- it actually makes me nervous watching, and that's not a reaction I've ever had to a show or film before. I've just turned off an episode seven minutes in because it's too excruciatingly well done, aaaaaaaaaaaaah.

I love BB! I've been catching up on NCIS LA. Can't wait to see Moneyball
