Still very much a work in progress. Forward line badly misses Dan Flynn's directness and Neil Flynn's guile. Hopefully McCormack's injury isn't as bad as it looked although Slattery showed glimpses of promise when he came on.

    Good luck.

Ya will never learn. Kildare haven't bet galway in 30 years or more.

    Good luck.

Don't blame Kildare. Blame the Dubs for letting you down.

Painful memories of Rob Kelly v Down in 2010 with that last free to win that hit the post!

I honestly think we would have won the All Ireland if we won that game. Hard to take still : (

Plenty of blame to go around.;)

Good game. The pace of the Galway forwards was the difference between the teams.

The suspensions from last week cost us dear.

Missing 2 from last week from after match melee and 1 from league final 2wks ago? Bit of a discipline issue? Too psyched up?

Great to be competing so strongly on the whole though result is bitter i would say. Played on some teams that took some beatings in the underage levels. I remember when Dublin schools started putting area teams into Leinster school A competition in late 90's. As a young lad, couldn't understand why Kildare didn't too. A North Kildare regional team would have been pretty strong.

    Leinster MFC Rd 1:

    Carlow 0-6 Kildare 0-7 (HT)

Kildare have kicked the five of the last six points having trailed by three midway through the half.

    Leinster MFC Rd 2:

    Carlow 0-9 Kildare 2-13 (FT)

The scoreline flatters Kildare somewhat. Two goals in the space of two minutes inside the final ten minutes killed off a strong Carlow challenge. The first goal came from a rebound from a point attempt which came off the post. The second coming from David Kelly who really stepped up for Kildare in the second half. Kildare will be pleased with their finish outscoring Carlow 2-5 to 0-1 in the last twenty minutes.

Let off the hook by all accounts. Good to get off to a winning start considering the injury problems.

I see it from the horse's mouth, bit of game changer for us hopefully, not like we will be beating Dublin with him onboard or anything but a very significant addition.

Good news. Exactly the type of ball winning forward Kildare don't have enough of.

Serious boost for Celbridge ahead of the club championship too.

How did Paddy Woodgate play? Nice to see a Raheens lad on the pitch. Been a long time, I can't remember the last time their team fielded a county lad.

He was lively enough. He's a bit behind the likes of McCormack, Healy and Flynn but at 18, he's one for the future.
