We had a boiler installed 10 months ago. We ran it at recommended 65c for central heating and 55c for return valve. This was very expensive. We use a mixture of smokeless and ordinary coal. Heat seems to drop quickly and once temp drops we only get partial heating into house.

Now running it at 50 and 40 resp. We have constant heat in the house and one filling list up to 10 hours instead of 3 or 4 hours. I am a bit concerned because we are running return valve minimum temp at 40 instead of recommended 55. Will this cause any problems?

    Thanks

    Mary

How is your boiler working now? Does it use much fuel?
I am interested in fitting one if it is a good system.
