Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

Ban on Boards.ie for what's said on Twitter

I posted this on the soccer forum, it was deleted, and was advised to maybe post it here. It seems in recent weeks for whatever reason that it's now possible to get banned from boards.ie for what is said on Twitter. This is a direct cut and paste from the 'off topic' thread and it speaks for itself so I don't have to go…

Just for anyone wondering. Here's the kind of stuff being directed at Nuri on Twitter. This following the racial and overly-personal comments toward him and his family a months previous through the @BoardsEye account.

PS Chilly was the name of a deceased pet of his.

There's been a few choice comments since his ban last week from more than one current Boards posters goading him about the ban with more personal digs.

And that excuses Nuri for some of the crap he's posted on Twitter himself about Boards mods and posters, does it? Despite how he might like to portray himself, he's not a martyr, he's a troll with a vicious streak, and more fool anyone who falls for his rubbish. But seeing as the thread has now descended to this level I think it's time to close it again.
