Is it a combination of book 4 5 and unreleased book 6?

Have read the books. Watched episode 1, thought some of the scenes were book 5

Yes it's a combination of 4 and 5. They had to combine them as a lot of central characters don't feature in book 4.

Bit of 6 in there too I would think, given there were book spoilers in Season 4

Some of book three in there too.

I had thought the last three books and a but from TWOW but from watching the first 4 it seems to me to be deviating completely away from the books. Some similar stories but huge parts changed.

I am glad about that, found the last two books very dull

Books 4 & 5 take place concurrently, but in different locations.
The series isn't splitting it geographically like that

Season 5 isn't covering any book.

Season 5 threw the books out the window.
