Shoulder Injury

    I seized a muscle in my neck/shoulder a week ago which I'm having physio on,but it still burns when it's cold or when I sit at the PC for a prolonged period. I've been going to the gym for 6 weeks and combining this with better eating, I'm starting to see great results. I do spin once a week and two strength training sessions (one body pump class, one session on my own), and I also ride my horse twice a week.

    My question is, while my shoulder is still recovering (ongoing physio), am I OK to keep going to the gym? I asked the physio and she said "just keep it light and don't lift Amy heavy weights". It was a bit vague! For clarification, I warm up on 2.5kg and use between 4-5kg for most exercises that involve lifting in body pump. I have a weak shoulder anyway so I've been advised only to increase weights once I feel completely comfortable.

    Should I reduce the weights I lift or stop doing these exercises until I recover? I'd hate to stop while I'm seeing good progress,but I don't want to do long term damage on my only fully working shoulder :p
