Fingal home win vs Galway French and Couch Potatoes take down Newcastle W in the battle against relegation.

Fingal move up to 3rd ad Couch Potatoes to 5th. Reaper are officially relegated. The league is now split between relegation (Couch Potatoes, Galway French and Newcastle W) and runners up spot-Gidoens, Fingal and Rath (with The Jacks already 7 points clear of 2nd & 12 of 3rd, i'm tempting fate and proclaiming them champions....prove me wrong Gideons

Folks, dont want to put a downer on anything, but unfortunately I just dont have time to do so much with the boards league for the foreseeable future. Between work,family & the rest my BR time is pretty scarce these days (dont tell Fewi....he'll only go and take advantage next time we play!!

)

I will be willing to help out with updating a league table every week or two, but unfortunately RL is taking up too much of my time now.:(

I'm saying this now to give plenty of notice and in the hope that somebody will take up the organising & inputting of matches for next season (and beyond)

Polk High are stretching away, while the real battle is between Leinster racoons and Mauling bear for second. this season Mauling bear are most definately off auto pilot, and smashing teams as they go!

CSDS and Stade mud slingers, both have a shot of staying up but need to pick up some wins, and conversely forza and geraldine are in danger of the auto drop spots should CSCS and SMS start picking up wins.

Rath took on and beat 2nd place Gideons to effectively give the title to The Jacks. The win took Rath to 2nd and within 2 points of 2nd place. With an ongoing dispute over league points Rath could yet find themselves in 2nd!! :eek:
Couch potatoes default win over Reaper sees them comfortably in 5th and 8 points above relegation place.
The Jacks all but sealed the title with a convincing 41-6 win over Fingal (dropping Fingal to 4th and 5 points off the last remaining promotion place).
Galway won away at Newcastle in the relegation battle, but crucially could not gain a bonus winning point.

Galway had a bonus point win over Rath to stay up. the loss damages Raths hopes of promotion.
A second consequtive win for Couch Potatoes over Fingal gives them an outside chance of catch Fingal for 4th.

My late serge not enough to get me into the top three, but given I was hovering around the bottom for most of the season I can't really complain. I hope to mount a challange for promotion next season!

Really good league again this season.

My chances of promotion are looking very slim after last night's defeat to UT, however. The squad has aged significantly this season, sadly most of their over-inflated wages do not reflect this.

Very close at the top now, all down to the final round. Anything could happen as over last two weeks there has been some very significant points won by the lower teams. Dreados has powered to the top level with ladyboys, WW has picked up some points, but not enough to survive unfortunately for them.
