It was because the x5 is bulletproof and no civilian could have a legitimate reason for having a bulletproof vehicle. Those with a resale value and which are not controlled are sold to the public.

    Unless you live in limerick

While I see where you are coming from, what is the law to say a civvie can't have a bulletproof vehicle? None that I am aware of.

I remember an old armoured Granada from the US embassy years ago , and the armoured G-wagen from the Iranian embassy was up on Carzone a while back so there's some out there, but why would you want one FFS

Did the yanks give that Granada to Sinn Fein? I recall them heading up to Stormont in a bulletproof Granada and heard it was a gift from some Americans.

I agree, completely ridiculous owning one, but that doesn't mean I can't if I've got a load of wedge burning a hole in my pocket :)

The thing with CAB seizing cars, is that the average criminal is not great at basic routine maintenance of his ill gotten gain. Most are more trouble than they are worth.

What Facebook page or someone's personal page?

Surprised they've no grills and that they've felt the need to write P.O. unit on them. Is there a cage in them or is it all seats?

Are there any other Garda vehicles with front white strobes?

I have only ever seen them on ambulances.

No. Because it potentially seats more than 7 people, but this would be covered in the standard Garda Driving course.

Any new mondeos left? Our Avensis resigned over the weekend due to mileage

Not so. Personnel Carrier is an additional course now.

This is a trial van to replace the Public Order Units Transits. Not for station level.

    Like the one here.

What's peoples problem with the Connects? Can be driven on chiefs. Fit prisoners in. They shouldn't be a full replacement to a full size van but are a grand addition.
