Chainsaw fuel error

    Hello,
I have a newish Jonsered chainsaw. I was cutting away and ran out of fuel. I refulled but forgot to add the 2 stoke oil to the mix. I had it primed it a few times before I remembered the 2 stroke. Thankfully I hadn't restarted.

Would it be sufficient just to throw out the petrol and then add correct mix?

    I'd really appreciate any advice

    Niall

    I wouldn't worry about it.

Empty the tank, refill with the correct fuel/oil mix and prime her a few times with fresh fuel. It'll be fine.

Empty fuel tank, then take out the spark plug and turn it over a load of times to evaporate any neat fuel that will still be in the carburettor.Even a few seconds of running on unmixed fuel will cause wear/damage to the piston, rings and bore.

Saw carbs don't hold any fuel they pump what they need straight from the tank.
There will be a decent amount of oil still in the crankcase from the old mix, so starting on the tiny bit in the fuel line won't kill your saw.
What do the fuel lines hold? 5ml?
Not enough to do any damage in that short time.
