2xRCA Phono Audio Input to Samsung TV (no video wanted)

I have a phono output I want to play through my TV speakers. Is this possible without having a video input? The TV is Samsung PS42A456.

It seems the option to change onto the VGA or SVideo inputs is only there if there's a video signal connected. It just says "No Signal" if I just have the audio connection.

Thanks, I have all the right cables.

I'm using the RCA cable to go into the 2 RCA connections on the TV.

The problem is that the RCA connections on the TV are associated with a video input (normal video or S-Video), and the TV doesn't seem to go on to the right channel unless I have a video signal connected there.

You'll have to manually select that input, anything other than HDMI or SCART needs to be manually selected. I doubt that the TV will refuse the audio signal just because there's no associated video.
