If in doubt, get a bigger bomb. I present the GBU-57.

The stats are ridiculous. 30,000lbs overall. 2.7tons of high explosive. Will penetrate 60m of 5,000psi reinforced concrete, or 40m of rock. And then go 'boom'. Oh, and unlike MOAB which is dropped from a cargo aircraft, this one's designed to fit in a B-2, and it's guided.

    Jake: The band... the band...
Reverend Cleophus James: DO YOU SEE THE LIGHT?
    Jake: THE BAND!
Reverend Cleophus James: DO YOU SEE THE LIGHT?
    Elwood: What light?
Reverend Cleophus James: HAVE YOU SEEEEN THE LIGHT?
Jake: YES! YES! JESUS H. TAP-DANCING CHRIST... I HAVE SEEN THE LIGHT!

I've just had a flashback from Claymore training.

"I see the light! I see the light! I see the light!"

Different role. Daisycutters were an airburst. This thing goes underground.

Will penetrate 60m of 5,000psi reinforced concrete, or 40m of rock.
    I'm not convinced of this.

It doesn't rely on kinetic force alone. It also has a precursor cratering charge which makes one big hole for the rest of the bomb to fall into, penetrate a bit, and then blow up a bit more. Kindof a double-whammy.

A smaller version, a 1,000lb bomb, went through 7m of 10,000psi reinforced concrete in tests, so something as big as this GBU-57A doesn't seem all that incredible at 5,000psi concrete.

I can see it being used for crowd control. Kind of like a rubber bullet.
