    Hello,
I am in serious need of a recommendation for a family law solicitor in Galway. Please PM me if you have any suggestions. I have been given a huge list of private solicitor names from the legal aid board from which I must choose. I am taking my husband to court for custody of our daughter and the matter is urgent as I would like to get a court order to stop him taking her out of the country without my permission as he is not from Ireland and he intends to return home at some point. Don't know why but im thinking female would be better. Also if anyone has gone through this I would love any advice you can offer. Never been to court before and very scared.
    Thanks

I understand that you need to get to a solicitor who will appoint a barrister who specializes in family law. Get some advice online from citizens advice bureau in the meantime.

There are also forums that may help you on the excellent Irish parenting website www.rollerocaster.ie

Thanks for all the suggestions, every lawyer i contact however seem to be too busy. Particularly when I say payment is through the legal aid board.
Frustrating but that's the way it goes I guess
