Have to admit I enjoy this programme anytime I see it...the salubrious venues, the crusty old experts and their infectious enthusiasm, the variety of objects being discussed, the accompanying stories of the owners of the objects and how they came to own the item in question.
Then there is the general sense of history and, of course, the climax of each encounter when the expert finally gets around to the valuation, with the camera always fixed on the face of the owner to register the reaction.
It's a wonder RTE hasn't copied this format.
