Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.
Thanks all.

    Brought this up after one of the recent site redesigns, but noticed today its still happening.

    When you hover your mouse over the envelope to the left of a thread on a forum page it used to show how many posts you had on a thread, and I think how recently you last posted on it.

    Although since the redesign, it displays one of the above, or a combination of two of them.

    Using Firefox, on Windows Vista.

    Working for me - Windows7 and SRWare Iron (similar to Chrome).

    I'm getting the [dots] [hot] etc.

    Here is the HTML:

    <img src="http://b-static.net/vbulletin/images/statusicon/thread_dot_hot_new.png" id="thread_statusicon_2056955066" alt="You have 114 post(s) in this thread, last 03-04-2014" border="" title="[Dots] [Hot] [New]"/>

    The title tag is the correct one to show, so that's why you see the [Dots] etc.

    Not sure if picking you up correctly, but I cant even see the HTML when I hover the mouse, and theres nothing to click on.

    Has any of the Admin or site support had a look into this, as was a useful feature if itwas a thread you were following.

    I think it will depend on the browser. Some show (technically incorrectly AFAIK) the alt text when you hover over an image, but it's not supposed to be used as a "tooltip", just displayed when the image isn't.

    I would say that the alt and title text should be swapped in this case?
