The good news in my case is that I have no scar tissue as I have never ripped anything down there.... Scar tissue is very very hard to stretch as it doesn't have the elasticity of normal skin.
That was essentially the crux of my problem. The foreskin was very tight, which meant it developed tiny almost invisible tears which healed up and formed scar tissue which made it even tighter and so on, and so on. I too put it off for years and years but had to submit in the end.

One thing I would say to you though is don't, whatever you do, put this off because of fear of seeing your doctor might say. They really and truly have seen everything in their medical careers, certainly odder things than a man with a tight foreskin, and in my case, my GP, the surgeon and the (female) nurses were all very matter-of-fact and professional about the whole thing, which was only to be expected, to be fair.

Got it done 6 months ago under general anasthetic, never looked back! Recovery was a lot better then i thought it would be, took about 2 weeks before i could walk without waddling and another 2 before i was back in the saddle......the only bad thing was waking up in the mornin with a horn, sore stuff!!

If anyone is scared bout gettin it done soon don't worry, you'll see the benefits in the long run;).....plus women seem to really like it, somethin different i suppose!!

If any man actually needed it to be done, I HIGHLY doubt that they would whinge about a probably minimal loss in sensation.

if a man needs to have it for health reasons ..well by all means go ahead

but getting it done simply for religous or appearance sake is unwise imo..the foreskin is there for a reason

anyway its not always a minimal loss..sometimes it can be a total loss of sensation

Simply getting it done for religious reasons? Its not as if one would have a choice

Also if you prefer it asthetically then why not do it?

Why have any surgery, Apendecitis, gonna get that removed? Nope- too attached to my delightful vestigial organ............

This thread isnt here to debate the merits of having a flap of skin, its a survey, nothing more.

where do you get your info btw?

Yes since childhood. Always taught that was the way you where born til I was older.
Know of a few people who had to get it done when they where older and it sounds painful. It must be pretty common because its not the kind of thing people would talk about and seeing the numbers on the poll, ouch lads I fell your pain. Definately clad to have it done when I was a infant

I've read articles about it in health magazines, and i saw a documentary on TV as well.

And i know a chap who had it done as an adult, and regrets it.

Not circumcised, no problems with it myself or with women, but the foreskin does hang down a little from the penis when its at its most flaccid, like its a bit too long. I remember when I was in my mid-teens, the foreskin was very tight and hard to pull back, thank god that changed! But I wondered was this normal that it loosened by itself, and would it have affected it being a bit long now? I'm not considering circumcision just for this, wouldn't be worth it. It just looks bad to me sometimes. Then again women have never complained about it so maybe its just me.

More than likely it's just in your head :) I was the same as a teen, very tight foreskin, then over time it became looser.

If no woman has ever recoiled in horror at the sight of it then I'd say you are probably fairly normal :)

    Yes.

I had it done when I was about 6 or 7 when I had to go into hospital for undescended testes... No one told me they were going to do it and by all accounts, they never asked or told my parents. I had to tell them (my parents) as I was leaving hospital, that something seemed wrong.... when I think about it, it was pure wrong at the time (to do it and not ask for permission / tell anyone).

Aside from that, my wife tells me she would prefers it circumcised, but thats probably a biased view. My brother had it done recently for tightness/medical reasons, and while sore at the time for about a week, he said he prefers it circumcised for cleanliness, and image... dont ask.

I am gladly not circumsized but my foreskin was kinda raped by a doctor early in my childhood. I find it better to not be circumsized, but requires more hygiene concerns.

    No! :)

Got it done at 21! Was excrutiating to have sex as it would get pulled down further than it was meant to go.

Got the snip, sore for a few days, uncomfortable for about 2 weeks. Fond (not really) memories of having salt baths for 2 weeks until the stitches dissolved.

Nope I'm not into MGM or FGM. I'm into equal righs but once the feminsists have their rights who cares about men?

No I am not. I also think the question is structured wrong. It does not allow for the percentage of population that are circumcised on religious grounds. So really the results monly erve 2 purposes.

    1. To know if your in the minority
    2. To know if your in the Majority

    :D

    Does it really matter.

Thats what I am asking. For example if you asked the same question in Isreal you'd get a different answer.

Well if you take into account the fact that Ireland (Where the majority of users are from) is a predominantly Catholic country, you could kinda presume that most of the people who voted yes, did not vote yes because they are members of whatever religion.

Yeah I had it done a few years ago for medical reasons. A circumcised penis looks far better than a non-circumcised one imo judging from all the porn I've watched. I often just stare at and admire my penis for hours of a sunday afternoon. I recommend circumcision.

Got circumcised when I was about 3 or 4 in Canada. As far as I know it was because of an infection. The only thing I remember about it was the excruciating pain of taking the bandage off afterwards.

I don't remember a bandage but my head was purple.

Was anyone else incredibly nervous over the first piss after surgery?! It took me ages to go. I was terrified. :o

God no and would never consider it unless absolutely necessary.

is it possible just to get the tip snipped so to speak ?
Or do you only have one option?
