    SCORE! :D

    http://insidetv.ew.com/2011/05/18/syfy-lost-girl/

Know what?....i *knew* this would happen!, Lost Girl is THAT good! ;)
But....won't SyFy have to edit/tone down the sexual elements?....10pm slot?....no way episode 8 sex scene would make it in American basic cable!

This is terrific promo for the series and i'm 100% positive it'll be a hit for SyFy, also it should garner LG more press, promo and i think a third series co-production financing from SyFy.

    GET IN! :p

as long as they're just airing it and don't have a say in if it gets more seasons or not, i'm happy. hopefully the format won't change with it being on syfy. i'm a bit worried if it becomes mainstream, it'll lose some elements to make it appealing to more people.

edit: if it's on syfy, will this mean the ratings need to be better for it to get renewed? i remember you saying earlier in the thread, that the station it's on in canada, if it got 500k viewers, that was huge. if this isn't successful in america, could it get cancelled? :(

^ SyFy are just buying/rebroadcasting the two seasons already made....well season 1 is wrapped and season 2 is currently being filmed. They are just importing it...like they imported Merlin from the BBC. I'm speculating since SyFy co-produce/finance other Showcase shows such as Haven that if it's a hit SyFy will actually co-finance the show for a third series.

Lost Girl season 2 premieres Sunday September 4th according to this: http://www.spoilertv.com/2011/05/lost-girl-season-2-premieres-september.html

Lost Girl, Season 2 [HD] (World Premiere) SEPTEMBER 4
Anna Silk (Being Erica, Billable Hours) reprises her role as "Bo," the tough yet loveable Succubus who survives by feeding off sexual energy. Season two will challenge Bo's resolve to stay free and force her to question her own morals and beliefs. While Bo grows stronger and learns more about who she really is, relationships will be tested and passions will ignite, but answers will not come easily. Through it all, Bo will remain true to herself and loyal to those she trusts as she continues to forge a path of her own in a dangerous world.

Lost Girl follows supernatural seductress Bo (Anna Silk: Being Erica; Billable Hours), a Succubus who feeds on the sexual energy of mortals. The premiere on September 12, 2010 garnered the highest ratings ever for an original Canadian scripted series on Showcase, pulling in over 400,000 viewers (2+). Based on this great success, work began almost immediately on season two. Lost Girl is developed and produced in partnership with Prodigy Pictures Inc. and Shaw Media, and is shot in the Hamilton area.

Another SCORE!! :D , rumoured a few days back but i waited for confirmation, the actor who plays Dyson confirms LG has been bumped to a mega-sized 22 episodes! :D

If *that* isin't confirmation about who great this show is and the confidence from Showcase and Shaw Media i don't know what is!! ;)

    http://www.spoilertv.com/2011/06/lost-girl-season-2-confirmed-to-be-22.html

    + The Morrigan returns!!

    http://www.spoilertv.com/2011/06/lost-girl-morrigan-emanuelle-vaugier.html

Lost Girl season 2 has been filming since May 9th, Emmanuelle Vaugier just tweeted today that she has just read the script for the episode of the Morrigan's return and since the episodes are confirmed to be filming in order and Lost Girl has already been filming for about 7 weeks expect the Morrigan to debut around episode 7ish perhaps. Emmanuelle has been busy filming Covert Affairs and The Protector.

PLEASE don't let there be a 3 month mid season break.

problem with a longer episode order is the greater the chance of crap filler. if they can keep up the quality for 22 episodes, great, but shorter seasons tend to be better

    22 episode expansion, now official:

SHOWCASE ORDERS NINE MORE EPISODES OF LOST GIRL AS CAST PREPARE FOR THEIR FIRST APPEARANCE AT COMIC-CON!

•ANNA SILK AND EMMANUELLE VAUGIER LEAD PANEL FRIDAY, JULY 22 AT 7:30PM

Currently in production for season two, Showcase orders up nine more episodes of the supernatural drama series, Lost Girl, in advance of the season premiere on Sunday, September 4th at 9pm ET, for an unprecedented 22 episodes in total.

Plus, Comic-Con fans are in for a treat as Lost Girl succubus, Bo (played by Anna Silk) leads a panel discussion at the highly regarded event along with Emmanuelle Vaugier who stars as “The Morrigan”, the leader of the Dark Fae. Joining Anna and Emmanuelle on Friday, July 22 at 7:30pm room 24 ABC are Executive Producer Jay Firestone (Prodigy Pictures) and Creator, Michelle Lovretta. A limited edition of the Lost Girl comic book, a prequel to the series, will be given out at this year’s Comic-Con panel.

Season one of Lost Girl premiered on Showcase in September 2010 with record-breaking audience numbers and continued to draw viewers in each week. During its run in Fall 2010, the series ranked number one on the channel for adults 25-54 and was the top scripted series across all specialty channels.

This past May, Syfy acquired season one and two of Lost Girl.

    About Lost Girl
Raised by human parents, Bo had no reason to believe she was anything other than the girl next door — until she “drained” her first boyfriend to death.

Bo has since hit the road alone and afraid. She discovers she is one of the Fae, creatures of legend and folklore, who pass as humans while feeding off them in secret, as they have for millennia. She is faced with choosing an allegiance between the Dark or Light Fae clans. Bo decides to take the middle path between humans and the Fae while embarking on a personal mission to unlock the secrets of her origin, protecting humans along the way.

Lost Girl co-stars Kris Holden-Ried as Dyson, a shape-shifting Fae, homicide detective and Bo’s love interest; Ksenia Solo as Kenzi, Bo’s human confidante and street-smart survivor; Zoie Palmer as Lauren, a human doctor who competes for Bo’s heart; Rick Howland as Trick, the mysterious owner and bartender at The Dal Riata tavern, with a secretive past that is yet to be unlocked, and K.C. Collins as Hale, a handsome male “Siren” who is the eternal bachelor, ultimate wingman and Dyson’s partner on the force.

Saw a lot of Lost Girl tweet spam on my TL this morning. Going by what people were tweeting it was ridiculously awesome....especially
    if you're a doccubus fan

Ah!...the gang are back! :) i see Zoie Palmer was made series regular and added to the opening credits, i'll get to my overall impression first - the show felt more mature, as in it seemed more like a proper network show you'd see on big networks, not some no-name Canadian cable channel.

Production budget was also increased, alot more extras...had a nice warehouse rave scene, it also appears the show is going for a more mythology and serialised/character driven approach....certainly not a bad thing as one complaint of season 1 i had it was a bit too proceadural.

Not sure about this new light fae sidekick, Siren?...the new black dude
Kenzi got a few zingers in but it wasn't as funny as other eps. but i guess they needed to establish things after the S1 finale and introduce the S2 arc/stories. Dyson...... :( , he can't feel love for Bo! :( , i'm sure though they conjure up some fae juice to sort that out soon enough ;)

I was worried the TV-PG rating and SyFy were going to bollocs up the more adult elements of LG, but thankfully a nice few shiits thrown in :D
I think LG has grown up a bit, it feels less amatuer, i think we're seeing the beginngs of a legit Buffy replacement and a long running series :)

Now I'm confused. I presume you're talking about Hale, but he's in no way new. He has always been there

Hale is Dyson's cop/fae buddy....yer man in the tunnel at the start, wasn't he a different new character?
