Am I going mad or has she been on 3 times in the last 3 weeks, or at least 3 times in the last 4 weeks  WTF is going on VB?

He always struggled with getting good female guests, look on the brightside it beats listening to a lecture from that know it all Ivana Bacik.

Ah come on, nothing could be worse than listening to Ivana Bacik. However, Ursula does sound very much out of her depth when it comes to economic issues and especially doesn't seem to understand how VAT can be proportionately unfair to the poor.

One thing I'd wish though is that she'd stop saying "you know the way" all the time, its fairly headwrecking once you notice it.

    Really?

    What about

    Margaret E. Ward
    Elaine Byrne
    Sarah McInerney
    Aine Kerr
    Alison O'Connor
    Niamh Lyons

Not nearly as bad as Tuffy habit of gasping for breath before she expires. Ursula isn't the only one of his guests that struggles with economics Boyd Barrett, Red Joe, Shrill Claire etc

I wonder if Ursula wasn't German and looked like Margaret E Ward would people have such a problem with her?

In proportion to male guests, I didn't say he hadn't got good female guests do the above list appears top heavy with journalists to give a good representation of women in Ireland. Remember last VB started to appeal for female guests to be nominated.

What, Joe and the gang didn't convince you that the Wealth tax would save us all?

Well I would give Margaret a bit more latitude....just because. I don't particularly have a problem with Ursula except for the ones I mentioned earlier. However I do think that Vinnie has her on to be the token German whenever he wants to take a pop at Angela Merkel and the germans.

I think you make a fair point about Vinny's over dependence on journalists but that is a different point to the one you originally made.

I agree and VB also allows more latitude to guests like Mick Wallace and PBP.

Sarah McInerney is gorgeous. Niamh Lyons has something too. I love when they are on

Tayto lover, she would have been on the list but I couldn't remember her surname. You'll have to get on the tweet machine to Vinny, tell him you want her back on the show.

You named 6 women guests, out of how many women have they tried out over the years? My original point wasn't a pop at women, just that the VB show struggles to get a good standard of female guests. Some very good and some very bad but limited pool. Very often his female guests apart from Journo's or politicians are from Non Profit organisations pushing a socialist view, not from the Irish business sector which Ursula is a member.

You could say exactly the same about his male guests, apart from a couple of economists they tend to be politicians or journalists.

They need to use journos and ngo women because of the general dearth of female politicians. Claire Daly and Joan Collins are teeth-grindingly bad as are Mammy O'Rourke and Averil Power from FF. Lucinda Creighton is pretty much the only female FGer put forward and she can usually hold her own with Vinnie but comes off as a bit arrogant. Roisin Shortall is probably the least worst when it comes to female politicians.

Alex is not quite as big a spoofer as some of the FGers that are sent on there, especially that Paschal Donohoe, Alex has a wee bit more intelligence. Elaine Byrne is as usual getting to the heart of things

I thought Vincent would be discussing the new look boards.ie, with Jim Power to tell us how the changes to the interface would affect the economy, Rich Boy Barrett saying that the working class (with smaller monitors) would not be able to see the full benefit, and Cassie back on the tweets of course?

Joan Burton is worried that there will be a lot more haranguing taking place here with the new look.

Alex White is Tom O'Connor without the Scouse accent.
