Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    I loved it enough to return after a long hiatus (and traveling abroad), only to find I couldn't access my old account and made a whole new one to join back in with the debates. I like it here. Always did. Sorry to lose my old account, though.

    That after so many years on this site, that I still find reasons to keep posting. That, and the great people I've gotten to know, and befriend over the years.

    The fact that there is such a varied range of information to be found/discussed, is pretty cool.

    I love how if I have a question, I will usually find the answer on boards. Very knowledgable people on boards. Some people are very generous with their time on boards. :)

    Ok this might seem weird, but every now and then when roaming random pages on boards, I come across a really genuine and touching post from a poster who, despite usually having a good few posts, I've neve rheard of before. I always think, I really like this person. Then of course, I log off and have a snoop in that person's previous posts, and when it turns out that they really are genuine and friendly and down to earth, that's one of my favourite things bout boards.

    And yes...I'm a weirdo. :pac:

    I'll moan about it but I love this site. Some very funny, witty people on here.

    It's also fantastic for information and differing perspectives on almost any subject.


    The mods are grand too in fairness, I only hate them for a few minutes if I get banned :)
