My other half has sinus issues that cause regular sinus infections, and which regularly turn into chest infections needing antibiotics and steroids.

Each time its at least 2 visits to the GP and a week off work.

We have had CT Scans done and consulted with specialists who said surgery is a possibility to help create better drainage in sinus's but that its probably only a 50% chance of doing anything beneficial and any improvement may just slowly desegregate over time leaving us back at square 1.

So GP's and Consultants have only helped control the issue when it flairs in infections but have not helped resolve the issue.

Who is the next level of professional who could be consulted on this for another view on what can be done to help?

What do you mean "next level"? Consultant is really the highest level of doctor your going to get.I know there is professors but i doubt they'd just arrange a consult to easily.

If the medical side of things don't work look up a few home remedies to prevent it

Consultant is the next step . if your wanting a name I can pm you the guy who looked at my sinuses years ago and now looks after my young son.
He's in the hermitage and James private. Also does Tallaght public but with half a morning a week in clinic there's a wait to see him.
We went private and now see him public.
