Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Really stuck now, some players may not play because of transfers(Fabio) and Rafael and Begovic may not start. Opinions greatly appreciated. Also is Nolan fit?

    Yes both valencia and Lampard my b rotated.

    Was just thinking of Lampard for the DGW - he is probably on penos too.

    And if fit, I reckon Valencia will start against Everton and with 2 good forwards to service in rooney and RVP, he may well get lots of assists.

    I dont think swansea will do anywhere near as well as lasy year - Allen gone, Manager gone etc

    Thats my thinking anyhow but thanks for your input

    I agree with you about Swansea but Newcastle at home should be ok imo.

    AV not sure but Sunderland I think will do well - top ten.

    Iba, I think Newcastle will probably end up much like Stoke last year - i.e in that mid table group that stretches from about 8th-15th with about 5 points between all the teams. I think they will struggle with the demands of the Europa League and feel teams like Liverpool, Sunderland, Villa, Chelsea, Everton and Fulham(who all finished below Newcastle last season) will improve and probably finish above them this campaign. Having said that I wouldn't say they are in any danger of relegation.

    Don't really see the point in having a 6m goalkeeper if your not going to keep him in for the majority of games. I know Everton away isnt the easiest of games but id still say their more likely to keep a clean sheet than West Ham. I expect utd to be a lot stronger at the back this year and should have their full strength back 5 playing.

    Man Utd are 6/4 to keep a clean sheet and west Ham are 7/4 so bookies also say De Gea

    Think all 3 should start, Kagawa starting should be more of a worry, maybe he will start on Mon night, but VP will really be affecting his gametime I think

    I am keeping a few £ in the bank to upgrade Torres -> Rooney at GW 3. I am going to start looking Villa/Sunderland after the first GW. You have me thinking now :D

    This is my team, any thoughts?

    I know there's a lot of money in defense, but I'll be replacing them after the first few weeks, e.g more than likely Jenkinson-Clyne, Kompany-cheapest starting City defender, and will probably get rid of Cole and De Gea in a few weeks.

    De gea too expensive and wouldn't expect too many points from Ireland.
    Guthrie's a better pick and cheaper.
