Hi all,
Vanilla are planning an update to the site on April 24th (next Wednesday). It is a major PHP8 update which is expected to boost performance across the site. The site will be down from 7pm and it is expected to take about an hour to complete. We appreciate your patience during the update.

    Couple of hours a day, between lunchtime and evenings for 4/5 days.

    I had thought I might SR for a shiny mewtwo as well (He's my fav!) but I don't think I could go through that again. :(

    I wouldn't mind SRing for a shiny legendary, but what sucks about it is the difficulty in catching it, so it's still not a guarantee to catch it. If it struggled to make itself faint, I'd rage for hours

    I was very surprised about three weeks back when I hatched a lovely shiny 328-m.png on Soul Silver :) I trained it and now it's a gorgeous330-m.pngUnfortunetly it's been doing terrible in all it's battles so far so I might tearfully have to replace it from my competitive team :(

    Good luck! I haven't gone for Mewtwo yet myself, but he's my favourite 'mon, so I might and might not try for a shiny. The nuclear-green tail is awesome looking...

    It is! I got to 120 SR's last night before I went to bed. I'll continue this evening. Also gonna SR for a shiny Charmander after I beat Red. That black Charizard looks so badass!

    Was just doing some leveling up at the time when he appeared. Was worried he would self destruct as the previous gravler i ran into did. Didnt get him with the first heavy ball, got him with the second

    I'm terrified of encountering a shiny in the Safari Zone in case it runs on the first turn. The golden Bellsprout is really nice :)

    When do you know if it's a shiny or not?
    Do they appear shiny before you decide to pick them, or do you have to agree to take them, and look at them in your team?
    This could save me precious seconds, which turn into hours!!

    I'm pretty sure it's the second one, since you don't get to look at them before picking them unlike the Johto starters

    Luckily the first ball I threw did the job, but I think I peed a little...
    Added to the obligatory red Gyrados that's 3 so far. Fingers crossed my japaditto will start churning more out soon :)

    Only other shiny I have is a hack dark Charizard from Atavan.
