The bird in the pcture sitting on the nest I think is a robin, but the colour of the eggs are putting me off, I thought robins eggs were distinct bluey green . This is the second clutch in this nest, it is in my shed. The white hair around the nest is from my Springer Spaniel.

    *sigh*
*smacks bunny for taking it up in the thread rather than reporting the post and smacks everyone else from dCorbus to jwshooter for back-seat modding*
*finishes moving thread to nature and bird-watching*

Don't see anything strange with the eggs - typical Robin eggs. A Cuckoo only lays one egg in a nest and is most unlikely to penetrate a shed in an effort to find a host.

Hope your not in a hurry to do any plastering soon.

"The white hair around the nest is from my Springer Spaniel. "
How did your springer get up there in the first place??

Yep that is a robin and those are robin eggs.

The blue eggs you are thinking of would belong to the American Robin, which is a different species.

No doubt you already know this, but if not, then don't disturb her too much whilst she is sitting on the eggs otherwise she may reject the nest, especially now that she has most likely layed her lot for this batch and is probably incubating them.

Lucky you to have such a beauty in your shed though.
