Not everybody's results on here might be true... Notice that most of their last posts were in the mocks spoilers thread sayin ''pleeeeeeeease I need the maths theorems'' ...forget about em.

If you don't get straight As that's your problem and choice.

If others want straight As, good for them.

There's no need to tell people that they don't need to study.

How is it a problem if you don't get straight A's? or choice for that matter? .. Some people, a lot actually, if they studied 5 hours a day since first year might not get A's in some subjects.

The user pointed out that you don't need to study and therefore that is her choice. No matter what anyone says you don't get straight As without studying. It's also her problem, as she complained in a different thread that she's going to do badly but not going to study.

English - 59% - Higher Level (I'm actually really good at English and normally get 25/30 or 15/15 in questions we do in class, but our teacher was really upset due to the standard of the marking, the highest in our year was 62%.)

    Geography - 85% - Higher Level
    CSPE - 85%
Home Economics - 77% - Higher Level (I had to laugh because this was the highest in our class and I haven't done an inch of study over the past 3 years - love common sense <3)

    Music - 70% - Higher Level
    Maths - 48% - Higher Level
    Religion - 69% - Higher Level

    English Higher Level:

I never got my English mock results back despite asking my teacher several times, she kept forgetting -_- I don't know what I got in my mocks, Im guessing a B, somewhere around 70 percent (just a guess)
I always try my very best in English - I never get full marks in class for my answers. I have asked my teacher several times for sample answers, help, tips etc. I swear, I try so hard in English and I want to get an A.

I would love some tips - what gets you high marks in essays about poems, novels and reviews?
I really want to know the way/style that examiners expect of you to write - evocative, long sentences or rather short sentences.. I know they may be stupid questions to ask but any details matter to me!! I dont know why I never get full marks - I care about english and I try my best, always. I study poem quotes, I make my point, refer to the poem or put in a quote if I know a suitable one.. I do these things but I'm pretty sure I ended up with a B in my mocks. Im so angry I never got my result, I asked for it several times!

Im really scared of English, more than any other subject because it seems as though I just don't have the right mindset for it, the correct approach or perhaps just not made for it? Maybe the best I can do is a B? I really dont know but I want that A.
I worry about English so much since I can learn off the other subjects and understand them easily. English has to have a nice vibe to it, and my destination in college has NOTHING to do with English (which sucks, right? xD), since I don't like it but want a good grade in it, especially in Leaving cert because it's all about points.

Please, any tips would be appreciated. I'm extremely stressed and panicking. I want to improve in English.

In all fairness though they don't really need to study at this point. If they've achieved straight A's, all honors, for the mocks (which are apparently more difficult) they're probably going to do the same for the actual thing.

Props to them. Wish I had worked that hard.
