Just had a quick butchers around google and apparently there aint many adapters that do it, and apparently the ones that do are very expensive.

ill look a bit more into it later, dont have a lot of time at the moment

no, its just a google pic.

the set-up needed is as follows

Mac monitor: DVI-D male --> adaptor: DVI-D female/VGA male --> PC graphics card: VGA female

funnily enough i have a dvi-d sex changer (female to female) which would enable me to use a DVD-D single link male to VGA male adaptor if you had one?

    cool, im in inchicore.

is it definitly DVI-D single link?

there needs to be no pins around the horizontal connector on the left side.
