Chris, if you want to be invited to this all you have to do is check the nomination boxes make your own nominations and they will send you an invitation as well.

I nominated the 2900's as an Inter-City DMU for a laugh and the reason I did was because Irish Rail told us Sligo Line users that it was an Inter-City DMU. So it must be true...

We should all do that as well for a laugh. Would be a great way to get back IE - having their "Commuter" decal job up on the screen up there along side Pendelinos and TGVs. Talk about karma.

Just fill in the relevant fields and make your nomination. Then you'll get an invitation to the fair.

"Passenger Comfort Innovation of the Year"
In my own case that was buying a new car.

Yet more clap trap Thomas. You're on fire this week. You specialise in alienating people. You really do.

    Chris

The judges were selected on the basis of their involvement in the rail industry. If you view the page I originally linked and click on "judges" you'll see the list which includes me. You'll note that many of them work directly in the industry itself. In the case of P11, we were the only passenger representation body to accept the invitation to judge. The organisers think the opinion of rail users is important. Though we may not end up judging Irish trains, its an opportunity to see developments elsewhere and what we are missing perhaps.

    And back to you Thomas

The 2900s can't be nominated. Nominations only apply to trains introduced to service or undergoing shakedown trials between December 06 and November 07. Oh and Im not just "going to the fair" I'm part of the judging panel.Try reading my original post and the website in question before the not so well veiled vitriole.

The power of the Irish exerting themselves online continues after "A Nation Once Again" was polled the world's top tune on the BBC website.

That's interesting; why didn't any other rail lobby group accept the invitation? If P11 were to judge any Irish trains would they show bias either way?

Dont ask us why they didn't, ask them.

What bias? It's simply about customer experience.

Is it not more a case of self alienation?
