what exactly is the problem? i work with kids, so, when, about a month ago, i came out in a cold , i blamed the snotty nosed kids i work with , but didnt think more of it... a week or so later, i develope a cough. :?

that's not good. horrible chesty one, lots of phlegm to be heard every time i cough.

went ot the chemists eventually looking for medicine to make it stop, after it was severely affecting mine and my fella's sleep.. they recommended two different medicines... cheapest being $15... (ie, too expensive)... before mentioning that honey and warm water should aslo do the trick.

    sounds good.

just need ot buy some honey now...

Chew one clove of raw garlic 3 time a day and your cold/flu will be gone in no time.

Shot of whisky, squirt of lemon juice, teaspoon of honey, top up with boiling water. Drink it as hot as you can manage.

If you're stuck in bed anyway and won't be driving, repeat as needed. Drink plenty of non-alcoholic fluids in between - water or something like orange juice.

I reckon the likes of lemsips only prolong the cold. Take plenty of vitamin C (redoxon) and wrap up, only your body is capable of beating it so just keep it pumped up on what it needs to fight the cold/flu.

For a cough, rub vicks vaporub on the bottom of your feet and put on warm socks. This seriously works, i tried it last week after developing a cough. It was gone in a day.

But if you put cloves in it, it'd be like something you'd get in a pub, and therefore not medicinal. If you leave out the cloves it's clearly medicinal, and you can take it regularly.
